Lakeside Terraced Patio with Custom Stone Fire Feature
This waterfront project transforms a sloped lakeside property into a structured and inviting outdoor living space. Multi-level natural stone retaining walls create stability while carving out a functional patio area overlooking the water. At the center, a circular stone fire feature provides a natural gathering point, surrounded by Adirondack seating and framed by a curved stone wall for both safety and definition. The carefully selected stone materials blend seamlessly into the shoreline setting, while thoughtfully placed hydrangeas and layered greenery soften the hardscape and preserve the view. Designed for durability and built to withstand Maine’s seasons, this space balances structural integrity with relaxed lakeside living.
Structured Lawn & Planting Design with Integrated Patio Space
This project showcases a thoughtfully designed landscape that balances open lawn space with structured planting beds and natural movement throughout the yard. A curved garden border frames the manicured turf, creating clean definition while softening the transition between lawn and landscape. Layered hydrangeas, ornamental grasses, and mixed shrubs provide texture and seasonal interest, while the natural stone stepping path guides movement from the patio into the yard. Mature trees form a dramatic backdrop, adding privacy and height variation. The result is a cohesive outdoor environment that feels polished, welcoming, and intentionally designed for both relaxation and entertaining.
Curved Seating Wall & Custom Fire Feature Patio
This project centers around connection and comfort. A circular gas fire feature anchors the space, surrounded by a custom-built curved seating wall that creates a natural sense of enclosure without closing off the surrounding landscape. The stone wall offers both structure and built-in seating, while accent pillows soften the space and add contrast. Underfoot, a thoughtfully designed paver layout combines herringbone patterning with a contrasting stone border, adding visual texture and definition. Set against a wooded backdrop, this patio was designed to feel intimate, balanced, and permanent — a refined outdoor living space built for gathering year-round.
